The next few posts will cover a few bits of software I use on a regular
basis. I'd like to think we're very productive for a small company and the
reason for this is a combination of our experience, skills and the choice of
tools which we use.

I was fed up of working on lots of different systems and not having easy
access to my aggregator. I didn't want to use a website (mostly because i
didn't like how they worked) and so I added my own in.

One of the things I learnt quickly when working with computers is that an
undo feature is quite handy. The amount of times you added or deleted
something you didn't mean to is embarrassingly large. An undo feature is now
included on most programs and I'm sure a lot of people wish they also came as
a birth right(I know I'm spent many times wishing for one).

have globally got better but some indivual terms have been up and down like a
yo-yo.

Not many posts for a while, we've been busy creating a website back-end for
the Super League. In doing so we had to handle some legacy content and work
out the ins and outs of unicode encodings and some practical issues in
applying all this to Python.

Macroloft Loft Conversion

We're getting new office space created by opening up the loft. A company called Macroloft are carrying out the work and I thought it would be interesting to keep a diary of what happens. The Macroloft website was a big influence on why we chose them as a company. So far things have been slow to get going but with Macroloft relying on word of mouth for 60% of their referrals, I'm sure they'll make up the time well.
