How are we different

Pollenation are a little different to most Internet companies in that our core skills are biased towards the development and creation of functional websites. The majority of web design companies are typically oriented towards graphic design and generally with a background in print or offline marketing. These companies excel at the design and build of static websites but start to reach the edges of their abilities when tasked with the design and creation of a fully dynamic website.

It is at this point that Pollenation is at it's most productive and our personal experience creates the most significant difference. Mark Spanton's experience in brand development and new media design, gained whilst design director for the Press Association and Orange Communications, ensures that any designs or branding will have the right visual impact across all media without compromising usability or aesthetics.

Damian Staniforth's, Tim Parkin's and Matt Goodall's experience developing large applications for financial, content, control and many other applications will ensure that any development's foundations will provide a solid base for future growth.

Finally, Charlotte Britton's business and online marketing knowledge can provide a predictable and cost effective route to market through the use of natural and pay-per-click search engine optimisation and affiliate marketing.

What can we do

The team at Pollenation has spent considerable time trying to find the best development environment in which to build it's solutions. Where the tools didn't exist, or where they didn't provide the quality or flexibility that we required, we have built our own or extended what tools were available.

Because of this initial and ongoing investment in resources, we are able to develop internet based software extremely quickly. We also ensure our development environment and software is open source which means that our clients are free to use or modify our software as they wish as long as the software retains it's license.

What have we done

Although we have developed modules for most of the 'typical' internet software development projects (e.g. content management, e-commerce, etc) we are equally comfortable developing custom applications such as the live patient referral system for London Bridge Hospital or an electronic patient record system for an American research company.
